Reminder: Only 0 more days remaining to play DoA: Ultimate online

As previously reported, if you ever wish to engage in further online multiplayer battles in Dead or Alive: Ultimate online, sadly to say, you only have 0 more days remaining to do so. On April 15, DoA: Ultimate, along with all multiplayer enabled original Xbox Live titles, is scheduled to permanently go offline. The title had a great run, gave us many years of unforgettable online entertainment, and will be truly missed. Team Ninja still mum on Dead or Alive 5

While chatting up Dead or Alive: Paradise for the PSP in an interview with VideoGamer.com, Yasushi Nakakura, art director for Team Ninja, was asked how has the departure of Itagaki impacted upon the Dead or Alive series and the direction it's going in?

He had this to say: The team as a whole, we understand that Mr. Itagaki made the Dead or Alive brand. But the staff here knows the game and knows the tradition, and wants to keep the tradition and the quality that has been established. But at the same time, we're looking from a game design aspect at things, and trying to listen more to users, and make things a little more user friendly. We want to listen to our fans, listen to our users a little more. Keep the good of what's been established, but reach out to more users, and make games that even more people can enjoy.

Yasushi Nakakura was then asked the burning question: There are many fans who are anxious to hear word on Dead or Alive 5. Do you plan to make Dead or Alive 5 more user-friendly?

Microsoft: Xbox Live being discontinued for original Xbox consoles, ALL games on April 15th

Today, Microsoft announced that they are completely scrapping their Xbox Live service from the original Xbox, along with all Xbox Live compatible games for the system starting on April 15th. This also includes all multiplayer backwards compatible Xbox original titles that are playable on the 360. Such a move means that, the ever lasting days of playing Dead or Alive: Ultimate online, is coming to an abrupt end. The company issued out a press release, which you can read after the jump. UK PlayStation Mag: Dead or Alive 5 in production for PS3
